Saint Quay Port d’Armor gain a Fifth Anchor

The Yacht Harbour Association is delighted to announce that Saint Quay Port d’Armor have made significant improvements since their last assessment and is now a 5 Gold Anchor marina.

Set in a wonderful location, it is a popular base as well as a destination for visiting sailors. It provides a great base for sailing regattas and competitions and with close proximity to the town and harbour it offers all the boat owner’s needs.

This busy marina and fishing port on the North coast of Brittany has approximately 1030 berths and 10,000 visiting craft per annum. It also holds a Blue Flag award and provides excellent recycling facilities. With 24/7 manning of the marina, their customers are well looked after and with the added bonus for their British visitors of their English Marina Master, Trevor Tomlin.

The Director, Jean-Michel Gaigné CMM, says “We are really delighted to receive this distinction which is a return for all the efforts made by all my team, and an encouragement to go ahead and stay at the forefront”.

The Gold Anchor Award Scheme which has been operating for 23 years is based on the TYHA Code of Practice for the design construction and operation of marinas and ratings range from one to five gold anchors. Any award issued is a sure sign of a credible and quality marina with the number of anchors demonstrating the facilities and standard of service available to berth holders as well compliance with statutory regulations.
